Most girls leave school without the skills to stand out in business.

Not because they're not capable — because no one ever taught them. Fempower's programme gives girls in Dar es Salaam the practical skills, language, and confidence to change that.

SKILL AREA 01

Seeing real problems worth solving.

Girls learn to look at their own communities and ask sharper questions. What's actually broken here? Who feels it? Is anyone already trying to fix it? This is where business thinking starts — not in a textbook.

SKILL AREA 02

Building a case for your idea.

How do you convince someone your idea is worth backing? Students learn to structure an argument, back it with numbers, and turn a rough concept into something a real decision-maker would take seriously.

SKILL AREA 03

Speaking so people actually listen.

Presence, clarity, and handling a room. Every student practises in front of peers, gets honest feedback, and learns the difference between being heard and being remembered.

SKILL AREA 04

Moving a team forward.

Most leadership is mundane: running a meeting, disagreeing without falling apart, deciding when the picture's still blurry. Girls practice these in teams — on real problems, not case studies written for someone else.
